What is the Frosty 5K?

The Natick Frosty 5K is an annual community road race benefiting the Natick High School Cross Country and Track & Field Boosters. Every registration helps support more than 300 student-athletes by funding equipment, team events, training opportunities, travel assistance, and coach development.

When is the race?

Sunday, December 6, 2026

  • Race Start: 9:00 AM

  • Location: Natick High School

  • Please arrive at least 45–60 minutes before the race to allow time for parking, packet pickup (if needed), and warm-up.

Where does the race start and finish?

The race begins and ends at Natick High School. A detailed course map will be available before race day.

How long is a 5K?

A 5K is 3.1 miles.

Can I walk instead of run?

Absolutely! Walkers, joggers, runners, families, and first-time participants are all welcome.

Is the course timed?

Yes. The race is professionally chip timed, and official results will be available shortly after the event concludes. Chip timing is standard for many community 5Ks to provide accurate individual finish times.

Will there be awards?

Yes! Awards will be presented to the overall top male and female finishers, along with age-group winners. Additional award categories may be announced closer to race day.

Will everyone receive a race shirt?

Participants who register before the shirt deadline are guaranteed an official Frosty 5K race shirt. Limited extras may be available while supplies last.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free parking will be available at Natick High School and nearby designated lots. Parking information will be emailed to registered participants prior to race day.

Can someone else pick up my race packet?

Yes. If you cannot attend packet pickup, another person may pick up your bib and packet for you. Additional pickup details will be announced before race weekend. Many races allow proxy pickup with identification or confirmation information.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes. Families with strollers are welcome. Please start toward the back of the field and be courteous to runners around you.

Are dogs allowed?

For the safety of all participants, pets are not permitted on the race course (service animals excepted). This is a common policy for organized road races.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The race will take place rain, shine, or snow whenever conditions are considered safe. In the event of severe weather or another emergency, participants will be notified by email and updates will be posted on our website and social media. Many winter races follow similar weather policies.

Are refunds available?

Race registrations are non-refundable. If unforeseen circumstances require changes to the event, updates will be communicated as quickly as possible.

Where does my registration fee go?

Every registration directly supports the Natick High School Cross Country and Track & Field Boosters. Funds help provide:

  • Team equipment

  • Training resources

  • Championship travel assistance

  • End-of-season celebrations

  • Athlete development opportunities

  • Coach education and certifications

Your participation makes a lasting impact on our student-athletes.
